DIRECTIONS :: EVENT INFO :: ABOUT THE CAVES
The Strip Mines Music Festival offers three days of camping and music overlooking the Shawnee National Forest, which boasts fifty acres of bluffs, waterfalls, rock formations, caves, and picnic groves. We are proud to present more than twenty of the Midwests strongest and most talented bands, performing in a natural cave amphitheater.
What really sets our festival apart from the rest though, is the fan friendly environment that we work so hard to provide for you, our community of fans and friends. The members of our team have attended and worked at major and regional festivals all over the country, and weve taken careful notes with respect to what works, and what just doesnt. Weve seen what happens when a well-intentioned festival gets too big for its own good, and it is with this perspective in mind that we are carefully nurturing our own festivals growth. We are a close-knit family that is providing a fun, hassle free, inspiring environment for our greater community of music fans, and we look forward to welcoming you this Labor Day Weekend!
